Bushwhacker Days is a family festival that is held on the second weekend each June. The festival recognizes the history of Nevada/Vernon County. Bushwhacker Days 2019 will continue the celebration with family and friends by providing an entertaining festival and fun events for all ages.

The events start on Thursday evening with an opening ceremony, ice cream social, and cookout. In 2019, the Gospel Night will be held on Thursday evening. Friday night, vendors and crafters set up around the square. On the main stage, there will be entertainment to be announced at a later date. Saturday begins with baby/toddler shows followed by care, motorcycle, and tractor shows on and around the square.

The Quilt show will be at the First Christian Church Fellowship Hall and throughout the day there are historical re-enactments on the square and historic presentations at the Bushwhacker Museum.

The vendor and craft booths continue through Saturday with many local unique items you cannot find anywhere else. Pride Amusement Carnival opens Thursday night and is open until Saturday night with armbands every evening. You won’t want to miss the parade at 6:05 p.m. The festival concludes on Saturday night, with the grand finale on the main stage.

Bushwhacker Days is made possible each year by local business and individual sponsorships, Bushwhacker Days Sub-Committee, City of Nevada Tourism, Vernon County Commission and the Nevada/Vernon County Chamber of Commerce.
